Oil <br />1 tsp. Cumin seeds <br />2 Onions, finely chopped <br />Salt, to taste <br />2 tsp. Ginger-garlic paste <br />3-4 Tomatoes, sliced <br />1 Green chilli <br />½ tsp. Red Chilli powder <br />½ tsp. Turmeric powder <br />Water, as required <br />½ cup curd <br />1 tsp. Garam Masala <br />Coriander leaves <br /> <br />For the Kofta:- <br />1 Bottle Gourd, grated (approximately 500 gms.) <br />Salt, to taste <br />½ tsp. Carom Seeds <br />½ tsp. Red chilli powder <br />½ tsp. Coriander powder <br />¼ tsp. Cumin seed powder <br />1 tsp. Garam Masala <br />3-4 tbsp. Gram Flour (Besan) <br />Corn Flour for coating <br />Oil for Frying <br /> <br />Method:- <br />1. In a bowl take the Kofta ingredients, strain the water form the bottle gourd, and mix thoroughly. <br />2. Make lemon-sized balls of the mixture and deep fry in the oil until golden brown. <br />3. In a pan heat oil and add cumin seeds, onion, salt, ginger-garlic paste, tomatoes, green chilli, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and saute. Add water and bring to a boil. Keep aside and cool down to room temperature. <br />4. Once cooled down to room temperature, grind the gravy in a mixer/grinder to a fine paste. <br />5. Strain the gravy through a sieve by adding the water from the strained bottle gourd. <br />6. In the same pan add the gravy back and add fried koftas, curd, garam masala, coriander leaves and cook for 3-4 minutes. <br /> <br />Lauki Ke Kofte are ready to eat!! <br />HAPPY COOKING!!!
